Ben Tre -

Taking inspiration from a beautiful area along the Mekong River with the same name, Ben Tre specializes in hearty, healthy and home-style Vietnamese cuisine. Diners can have a taste of everything when they order the Appetizer Combination that features imperial rolls, spring rolls, grilled meatballs, sugarcane and crispy shrimp, rice vermicelli and lettuces. Standards such as pho noodle soup and specialties like Canh Chua Ca Kho, or hot sour catfish soup, are just a few of the savory selections on the extensive menu.

Cable Car Café -

Open for breakfast and lunch, Cable Car Café attracts the local crowd and visitors with its cozy atmosphere and simple, yummy food. Diners can fill up on the Crab Benedict or Grand Avenue Omelet, as well as classic staples like burgers, sandwiches and other goodies.

Hungry Hunter -

This South San Francisco go-to spot for steak continues to be a crowd favorite ever since opening for business more than 40 years ago. The lounge is a good place to unwind with cocktails before sitting down for lunch or dinner and ordering scrumptious selections such as ribs, seafood dishes ranging from Alaskan crab legs to tempura shrimp, and hearty plates from Whiskey Peppercorn Top Sirloin to the Cajun Ribeye.

Little Lucca -

Since opening its doors in 1980, Little Lucca has become quite the legend in San Francisco. So it should come as no surprise that long lines tend to form outside of this tiny sandwich shack right around lunchtime. The long list of options, fresh bread and original garlic sauce keep the customers loyal and happy. Selections range from the classic BLT to the inventive Fire Roasted Steak Caesar featuring New York sirloin steak, caramelized onion, melted cheese and Caesar dressing and more.

Villa de Sol -

Meat lovers should venture to Villa de Sol, an authentic Argentine establishment serving traditional barbecue and original family recipes that include such staples as pasta and empanadas. Wine lovers may pair their meals with special reserves from La Rioja, San Juan and Mendoza.
